Privacy notice

This notice describes the early access list and optional analytics on https://azorya.world. It does not describe the separate game service.

Who handles your data

The early access list

With your explicit consent, we store your email address, signup time, whether you arrived through the early access or Founder announcement form, and the consent notice version. We use the list for updates about the prototype, Founder Pickaxes, and Azorya’s development. Email verification and automatic confirmation emails are not part of this initial signup flow.

Addresses are kept in a private SQLite database on our server, outside the public website. They are not published, sold, or sent to Matomo. No account is created and no email delivery provider is connected to this release.

Retention and withdrawal

We retain signup records until you request removal or the early access list is retired. To withdraw consent or request access, correction, or deletion, contact privacy@azorya.world from the address you signed up with. We will verify requests before making changes. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restrict processing, receive a copy of your data, or complain to your local data protection authority.

Encrypted operator backups may retain removed records for up to 30 days. If a backup is restored, removal requests must be reapplied before the list is used.

Optional analytics

When enabled and only after you accept, we use our self-hosted Matomo installation at https://analytics.victorduarte.site to understand page visits, Play clicks, accepted signup submissions, and interest in Founder announcements. We do not send email addresses, form contents, user IDs, URL query strings, or referring URLs. We disable Matomo tracking cookies and browser feature detection.

Matomo’s server receives ordinary connection information, including your IP address and browser headers. IP anonymization and server retention are configured by the operator; this notice does not claim that all technical data is anonymous. Declining analytics does not affect signup or Play.

Your analytics choice is stored locally in this browser for 180 days. Use the preferences control below to change it. Revocation stops further tracking; it does not remove previously recorded aggregate analytics.

Security and service operation

The signup service temporarily uses IP addresses for rate limiting without adding them to signup records. Website access logs may contain IP addresses, paths, timestamps, and browser headers, retained for up to 14 days under the supplied deployment configuration. Request bodies and email addresses are not logged. Access to the database and backups is restricted to authorized operators.

Changes

We will update this notice when data handling changes, including before connecting an email delivery provider. The current page is the source of truth for this website’s signup flow.
